It is so because, during the pandemic, they were more occupied with chatting and exploring different online dating sites to find a match. All couples, married or dating, were happy with their relationship post-pandemic. This is so because they got ample time to spend with their loved ones. Some were developing a bond over the phone, while others were making connections in person.
Happiness
The pandemic has taught us various things. And out of those things, one major thing realized by individuals was the value of a relationship. Many started giving time to their partners and improved the things that were causing harm to their relationship. As recorded by the survey, 55% agreed that their relationship grew stronger with time.
Apart from being optimistic, another factor that determines the rise in the happiness index is the improved sex life. Single daters, married couples, and people in relationships experienced increased libido. This has improved their physical intimacy and related in more birth rate.
Singles tried to find the ideal match for themselves, and people in relationships were more engaged in sexual activities such as oral sex, role-playing, watching porn together, etc. these activities made their relationships more vital and, therefore, increased the happiness index level.
Another milestone achieved by couples was sober drinking. Drinking with your partner increases the compatibility between the two. While many don’t like to consume alcohol and don’t want their partner to drink, others love to drink every sip with their partner.
Mental Well-Being Is Important.
Lastly, how can we forget mental well-being when we talk about the happiness index? Mental well-being is an essential part of one’s life. People began indulging in self-care, and partners appreciated this too. It was observed that 73% of single daters feel more attracted to people who invest their time and energy into self-care and mental well-being. Apart from self-care and mental well-being, couples also participated in couple therapy and date nights and started workouts together. This had a substantial positive impact on their relationship.
